Geographic area of Lombardia, is known only for the high density of industrial activity, but are hide natural and historic treasure of great wealth. In Brianza there are also regional parks and natural reserve, for protect the landscaping wealth, historic, artistic and natural of the area. Parco Adda Nord enclose the jewels of the industrial archeology of the hydroelectric centrals in liberty style, still in use today, and the projects of Leonardo da Vinci. Parco delle Groane: 3400 ha for protect the most southern heath of the Europe. Montevecchia e Curone valley park: 2300 ha to protect settlements of iron age, and local wine production. But the Brianza was also a holiday area of many italian families of aristocratics, they built numerous prestigious houses. Borromeo family has built many homes in Brianza and, among these, the Villa Borromeo in Lainate with its water system in Ninfeo, is an attraction for tourists visiting the house. Many other curiousities are hidden just a few kilometers from Milan, just waiting to be discovered.
